Sirius Vet is a small animal clinic that specializes in orthopedics to improve the health, mobility, and comfort of pets. They required functional veterinary custom casework solutions that looked appealing and enhanced the comfort of their patients and their owners.

Usability and Functionality: The vets and staff at Sirius Vet must be able to work quickly and efficiently.

Modern and Visually Appealing: Casework that matches the brand visuals of Sirius Vet.

Durability: Like any healthcare facility, durable casework is essential. Heavy use, regular cleaning with strong chemicals, and unpredictable animal wear and tear must be considered to optimize safety and cost-effectiveness.

Our Approach

Value Engineering:

Our team looked for opportunities to reduce costs and optimize material usage. This helped to reduce unnecessary costs and shorten lead times.

Regular Communication:

We created a regular check-in with the client at least once a week. By consistently sharing updates and project timelines, our clients were able to better understand the project and remain in control.

Site Visits:

As part of our service, our project manager visits the site before we build the casework to verify measurements and then typically visits the site again near the end of the project for any changes or punchlist items that need fixed.

Design Optimization:

We collaborated with the project manager to add more functionality to their casework design to better fit their needs, including adding, removing, and changing cabinet sizes to streamline the design and installing under-counter, pull-out garbage bins. We also used specialty finishes to achieve a more cohesive and elevated look including laminates from Canadian brand Arborite laminate and KV standards and brackets for robust shelving.

Results

Our team created casework and cabinetry that truly enhanced the experience of the Sirius Vet team and their patients. Vets and nurses can work quickly and efficiently thanks to the strategic design and installation of their casework. Durable hardware means that casework will stand up to whatever the animals or staff need.

To create a modern clinic interior design with the Sirius brand, the designers added blue 3Form acrylic panels to the reception desk and a star chart to reflect the Sirius constellation the vet clinic takes its name from.
